We are always looking for people who are interested in volunteering in our projects. If you work in the medical, educational or social field that could be useful for Calcutta Rescue and would like to get involved in India, please send us your application documents by e-mail.
Requirements
Requirements are good knowledge of English, tolerance, ability to work under pressure, ability to work in a team, 2 years of professional experience, interest in independent, committed work. Travel experience in India is an advantage.
Calcutta Rescue works in India with a team of qualified local staff. These include doctors, teachers, accountants, health experts, pharmacy specialists and a large number of other helpers, mostly former patients.
Volunteers from other countries join Calcutta Rescue for a limited period of at least 3 months and make a valuable contribution to the organization by contributing their experience, know-how and new technical achievements from other countries to the existing team. There are always vacancies for qualified nursing staff, pharmacists, administrative specialists, educators and physiotherapists. We always need specialists from the medical field to manage and monitor the clinics and other facilities. Voluntary work enables us to keep up to date with the latest knowledge and to develop continuously. We also need accountants, HR specialists and experienced auditors to strengthen our team. Calcutta Rescue does not offer internships for students or civilian service.
A good command of English is essential for an assignment with Calcutta Rescue. It is also important for us to get to know you personally and to hear about your motivations and ideas.
