It's been a long time coming, but the construction work for Calcutta Rescue's new school will be completed next month!
Due to Covid-19 and lengthy delays in obtaining planning permission, the renovation work finally began in April 2022 with the conversion of the old family home on Ishwar Mill Lane in the north of Kolkata. Since then, walls have been knocked down and rebuilt, two underground reservoirs created and new staircases installed.

Plumbing, electrical and plastering work will be carried out in the coming weeks. Painting work will begin in the new year before the building is fitted out so that the pupils and staff can move from the cramped and dilapidated School No. 10, which Dr. Jack opened almost 40 years ago, in April 2023.
