A small charity, Calcutta Rescue runs an astonishing number of projects and programs, all aimed at improving the lives of the poorest people in Kolkata and West Bengal. Dr. Jack's ethos of holistic support is at the heart of the organization's work, constantly seeking better ways to cure the sick, reduce the burden of disease, improve living conditions, provide education to the rising generations and create employment opportunities.

Even those directly involved do not always know what is going on. However, Calcutta Rescue produces a detailed report on its activities every quarter, which is packed with statistics.
